As seasoned electric vehicle drivers with good experience of the EV charging network across Europe, Team Ecofactor are looking forward to joining the Europa EV Rally – GREENFLEET's first rally to venture overseas from the UK to mainland Europe. We find out more from Scott Edy, Geo Director
As an introduction, please tell us about Ecofactor?
ECOFACTOR is an evolutionary circle of hardware solutions. We design, manufacture and deliver. Our solutions are connected by our in-house charge point and energy management software platform.
What has made you decide to get involved in GREENFLEET's first Europa EV Rally?
Sounded like a great opportunity to meet some people, see some sights and have some fun
Please tell us about your team - who is driving?
I will be driving along with Max Riznychenko, Chief Growth Officer, Sergey Velchev, Founder & CEO, and Polina Tymofieieva, Chief Marketing Officer.
The Rally will cover 1,300kms over five countries in Europe. Do you have a particular strategy to get you through the Rally smoothly?
We're seasoned drivers and riders of electric vehicles, with some 30 years or more between us. Clean, smooth driving will help maximise range - and making sure we’re going the right way will definitely help.
Have you had any experience of the public EV charging infrastructure in Western Europe? Are there any areas that you think might be a challenge to charge?
We all have and quite honestly, we all agree that it is much easier in general across Europe. Still the occasion receipt issue (in getting one) but no struggles as such.
Why are events like the EV Rally important for driving up EV adoption?
It shows people it is doable. Driving an electric vehicle is as convenient, it’s just different. New technologies are always improving things in our day-to-day life, just sometimes it requires a different approach. Education is still key to the move.
Please tell us about the ECOFACTOR’s future plans?
We're designing and building new hardware types for specific use cases. Building out our network of charge hubs throughout Europe, utilising our on-site energy generation and storage, as well as growing the team. Anyone that thinks they have something to offer and wants to join the team, feel free to reach out to anyone one of us.
