Checkpoint T is for Turbine – a majestic, 4.1MW Vensys machine that stands proudly alongside our other turbine in the landscape just north of Leighton Buzzard, on the A5. 
This Turbine is unique both in the Tour and the UK. It directly powers an EV charging station and coffee outlet, enabling drivers in the EV Rally and from all over the area to achieve truly green power for their vehicles. 
Designed and built by AWGroup, the groundbreaking development is a game-changer in the world of EV. By harnessing the power of wind and eventually  solar, the site offers 14 ultra-rapid charge points in a comfortable and convenient location. Drivers can stop for a coffee and recharge in under 20 minutes.
